Cockapoo Puppies for Sale UK — Playful, Affectionate & Family Raised
Cockapoos are usually the easiest of our three breeds to spot in a park before you even see their face tail going, ears bouncing, already halfway over to say hello. If that’s the energy you’re after, you’re in the right place. Cockapoos have become a much-loved choice for families across the UK, and it is easy to see why. They are affectionate, bright, playful and generally enjoy being part of everyday family life. We’re Little Paws Angels, based in Central London, and Cockapoo puppies are one of three breeds we raise at home, alongside our own family.
What a Cockapoo is actually like to live with
Cockapoos are a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, and it tends to show in the best possible way the Spaniel’s warmth and people-focus paired with the Poodle’s sharpness and lower-shedding coat. They’re sociable almost to a fault, quick to bond with everyone in the house rather than fixating on one person, and generally easygoing around children and other pets. They’re also properly playful well into adulthood, so if you want a dog that still wants a game at three years old, this is usually a safe bet.
Coat and shedding do vary depending on generation, which is worth understanding before you buy rather than after.
Cockapoo generations explained (F1 vs F1b)
If you’ve been comparing Cockapoo puppies for sale UK-wide, you’ll have come across “F1” and “F1b” in listings and probably wondered what it actually means for the puppy in front of you.
F1 Cockapoo — the first-generation cross, a Cocker Spaniel bred directly with a Poodle, roughly half and half. F1 litters can vary a fair bit puppy to puppy: some take more after the Spaniel side, others more after the Poodle, and coat type along with how much a dog sheds can differ even within the same litter.
F1b Cockapoo — an F1 Cockapoo bred back to a Poodle, which increases the Poodle percentage to roughly 75%. This tends to produce a curlier, more consistently low-shedding coat, which is why F1b litters are often the ones families with allergies gravitate toward.
Neither generation is objectively “better” it comes down to what you want. If a predictable, lower-shedding coat matters most, F1b is usually the safer bet. If you don’t mind a bit of variation, F1 puppies still shed noticeably less than most non-Poodle-cross breeds. We’re always happy to talk through exactly what generation a specific puppy is, and what that’s likely to mean for grooming and shedding, before you commit to reserving.
Buying a Cockapoo puppy in the UK — what actually matters
When you’re ready to buy a Cockapoo puppy in the UK, it’s worth asking the same handful of questions regardless of how quickly you want to move: has the puppy actually been raised around people and normal household noise, is there a written health guarantee, is the paperwork handled properly, and can you see or speak to where the puppy has genuinely been living. Cockapoo breeders across the UK vary a lot on this we’d always rather you asked us directly than took it on trust.
Our Cockapoos are home raised here in London alongside our own kids, not in a kennel. Every puppy leaves us with full documentation completed in line with UK law, a written health guarantee, a blanket carrying their mother’s scent, a toy they already know, and a sample of their current food. Current pricing for each available puppy is kept up to date on our available Cockapoo puppies page, since it varies litter to litter.

Is a Cockapoo right for your household?
Cockapoos tend to do best with families who want a dog properly involved in daily life they’re not really a background pet. They’re usually great with children and settle well with other animals, and their trainability means most families manage well even as first-time owners. The trade-off is that they don’t love being left alone for long stretches, and depending on generation, there’s a real grooming commitment that comes with that coat.
Why Families Choose Little Paws Angels
Choosing a Cockapoo is about more than a cute face in a litter photo. Families choose Little Paws Angels because of what happens after the excitement of finding a puppy starts to settle the details that make the first weeks and months easier.
